Christmas Decorated Cheese and Crackers
Ingredients
1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
Date Tamarind Chutney (start with 2 tablespoons, add more as needed)
cracker
cheese slices of choice
roasted red peppers, optional
green olives, optional
Method
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of whipped cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of Date Tamarind Chutney.
Gradually add more chutney until the mixture reaches a soft peak consistency—smooth but firm enough to hold its shape when piped.
Spread a thin layer of Date Tamarind Chutney on each cracker using a toothpick.
Place a cheese cut-out on top of each cracker with the chutney.
Fill a piping bag with the chutney-cream cheese mixture and pipe decorative designs onto the cheese cut-outs.
For extra flavor, top some crackers with chopped roasted red peppers and green olives.
If not serving immediately, spread a thin layer of cream cheese on the crackers before adding toppings to prevent moisture from the peppers soaking in.
